My friend brought up a good point one point when we were talking. But I do remember reading about this somewhere and I think its a really good point. Add more. For most people eating healthy is way out of anyones thoughts. But it all starts with one apple, or one banana. I never used to think about what I ate but the more you ADD fruits and veggies in your diet the more it can crowd out the bad foods. Instead of a hamburger, get a portobello burger. Instead of buying a candy bar at the gas station, get a protein bar. Instead of a soda, get a flavored water. You get the idea. This I think has been the easiest way for me to eat better. Now I find myself buying protein shakes and nut bars at the gas station. It really does become an unconscious thing. You can TRAIN your brain to like the things you never thought you would have before. All it takes is repetition. Change your taste buds to like certain foods. Instead of a cheeseburger get a salad. 14-21 days and you can change those lovely little suckers on your tongue. No doubt your gonna crave certain things like candy and soda at first, they have addictive additives in them. But the more you cut them out of your diet the less likely you will want them. Then soon enough after fighting these cravings and crowding out bad foods you will LIKE healthy food and crave it more then you crave your unsatisfying foods. Give it a try, instead of a donut for breakfast substitute it for a banana for a week. It will give you more energy and more attentiveness that you need to go on through your day. You wont be sluggish and tired. Natural sugars are by far the best thing for you. Preferably in the morning to noon time but its always better to have some fruit then some candy
